A minor point in that debate, but something I’m curious about, is an argument from Aylutar that, paraphrased: “quantum non-determinism invalidates the assumptions of science”. Now, this doesn’t seem quite right to me, given that inquiry within the context of science brought us to understand quantum mechanics in the first place. I don’t have the ability to understand what was posted, but I assume at least a few people here do, and maybe someone has the patience to read and either affirm or refute.Either way, I’m curious: how does a classical macro-universe arise from a non-deterministic micro one? If the universe is fundamentally non-deterministic, it doesn’t seem to have much effect on the physics of my everyday life.
